About Us
Fuji's dining experience goes beyond great food. Our patrons watch chefs prepare meals of hibachi shrimp, scallops, chicken and steak while they perform dazzling and highly skilled maneuvers with razor sharp knives, salt and pepper shakers, and flying shrimp.
As the Outer Banks only Japanese steakhouse we offer locals and tourists a taste of some of the most ancient and flavorful meals from Japan. Our sushi and hibachi chefs have trained for over 6 years to reach a level of skill that is highly advanced. Let them entertain you with their tricks and be sure to bring your sense of humor. We are licensed with a fully stocked bar and offer patrons the option of eating at the sushi bar or one of the hibachi tables. We remind you that the last hibachi table cooking will be 20 minutes before closing.
Teppanyaki is the ultimate in Japanese cuisine...
"Teppanyaki" - meaning steel grill - is the food preparation sytle where meat and vegetables are cooked and eaten off a large table-top grill called a "teppan". Teppanyaki dinners sit at communal "hibachi" tables that surround the gill keeping their food warm. Traditionally, these meals were prepared on a small grill by families, however it has developed into a highly refined and beautiful form of expression.
